Hi there, you wonderful human becomings, and Happy Wednesday! Here at The Good News and The Good Do’s, Wednesdays are an exploration of what I call Civics 2.0. This Leveling Up theme is about how we as citizens engage with/in our communities to build the kinder world for which we all long. Today, we’re hanging with the quality of Grace and considering what extending Grace would do for our country/society/world. But, as usual, we must Get Inspired first!
Today’s Inspiration: We all need to see the good that is constantly happening in our world, so we have a round-up of inspiring stories each and every day from the KarunaNews website. KarunaNews | Responding with Compassion The links take you to a short summary and offers the option to read the entire story. (They aren’t all new, but they are all Inspiring…)

Today’s Probing Question: What would a Grace-Ful society look like?
As you might be noticing, I’m a bit taken with the quality of Grace right now because it seems to me that every segment of our world would benefit from the infusion of more Grace. From how we treat ourselves, to our one-on-one relationships and how we build/create/imagine our society, I’m seeing how applying Grace in liberal measures can be transformative.
In each of our imaginations, we can envision a more Grace-Ful society, country, or world. As I peruse today’s good news stories, and recall many, many more from my work on the KarunaNews website, here are a few things that pop to mind. A more Grace-Ful society would be kinder, more trusting, more generous, more forgiving, more curious, and focused on developing human potential in everyone.
What do you think…?
Take Action:
Remembering the definition of Grace from Monday’s post (or a willingness to be fair and to forgive), reflect on what a more Grace-Ful society would look like for you. Please share a comment with your thoughts.
Then, consider the tiniest ways you can inject some Grace into the world within 3 feet of you over the next week. If you brought Grace to every civic interaction you have over the next week, how would you be showing up and who would be impacted? (By the way, at the grocery store recently, a woman was moved to tears because I smiled at her. Think simple…)
What will you commit to doing?
What’s stunning to me is how Grace is already being built into our global society, as the good news stories show. We ARE Leveling Up as a species and our individual actions can accelerate the change.
